Does God truly exist?”– A Scientific approach

There are many examples where scientific discoveries, far from disproving the existence of God,
have actually pointed to evidence of intelligent design, order, and purpose in the
universe—things that many believe point directly to a Creator.
Here are a few key examples:

  1. The Fine-Tuning of the Universe
One of the most profound discoveries of modern science is the fine-tuning of the
universe. Scientists have found that the fundamental constants of nature—such as the
force of gravity, the charge of the electron, the strength of electromagnetic forces, and
more—are incredibly precise. If any of these values were slightly different, life as we
know it would be impossible. For example, if the strength of gravity were just a tiny bit
stronger or weaker, stars, including our Sun, would not exist, and thus, life would not be
    possible.
The Bible speaks of God’s wisdom in creation. In Psalm 104:24, it says,
    “How many are
Your works, O Lord! In wisdom You made them all; the earth is full of Your creatures.

This sense of divine wisdom and order aligns with the fine-tuning scientists observe in
the universe. It suggests that such precise conditions could point to a purposeful,
    intelligent Creator.
  2. The Laws of Physics
The discovery of the laws of physics—from Newton’s laws of motion to Einstein’s theory
of relativity—has revealed that the universe operates in an orderly and predictable way.
The consistency of these laws across time and space strongly suggests that the
universe operates according to a set of rules that don’t change, which some scientists
argue points to a Lawgiver. If the laws of nature are consistent, then it suggests there is
    an intelligent mind behind them.
The Bible emphasizes the order and predictability of creation. In Jeremiah 33:25, God
    says,
“If My covenant is not with day and night and I have not established the laws of
    heaven and earth…
” This idea of established laws of nature that God upholds resonates
with what scientists observe today. Many scientists see these laws as evidence of His
ongoing involvement in sustaining the universe.
  3. DNA and the Complexity of Life
The discovery of DNA has been one of the most striking pieces of evidence for many
people that there must be an intelligent mind behind life. DNA contains an incredible
amount of information in a language-like code that instructs cells on how to build and
maintain an organism. The complexity and precision of this code are so advanced that
even some of the most brilliant minds in science acknowledge that such intricate
systems suggest design rather than chance.
For example, biochemist Michael Behe argues in his book Darwin’s Black Box that
certain biological structures are “irreducibly complex”
    —they cannot function unless all
parts are in place at once, suggesting that they were designed to work together from the
start. The Bible also consistently affirms that God is the Creator and Designer of life.
    Psalm 139:13-14 says,
“For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my
mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
    ” The intricate
design of DNA and the complexity of life at the molecular level can be seen as a
reflection of God’s intimate involvement in creation.
  4. The Anthropic Principle
The Anthropic Principle is a philosophical argument that says the universe’s properties
are perfectly suited for life to exist. This principle has become evident through the
observation that the conditions necessary for life on Earth are so precise that it’s almost
as if the universe was designed for human beings to live in. The Earth’s perfect distance
from the Sun, its protective atmosphere, and the presence of liquid water are just a few
examples that point to an incredibly fine-tuned environment.
The Bible speaks of God creating the earth and placing humans in it with a purpose.
    Genesis 1:31 says,
“God saw all that He had made, and it was very good.
    ” The fact that
Earth seems so perfectly designed for life can be seen as evidence of God’s careful and
intentional creation of the world for humans to inhabit.
  5. Consciousness and Morality
While science can explain the physical workings of the brain, it struggles to explain
consciousness—the awareness of self and the ability to reflect on our existence.
Additionally, science cannot fully explain the sense of morality—why humans have an
innate understanding of right and wrong, and why we feel compelled to act morally.
Many see the presence of consciousness and moral law as evidence of a higher power
or Creator who instilled these qualities in humanity.
In Genesis 1:26, the Bible says,
    “Then God said,
‘Let Us make mankind in Our image, in
    Our likeness…
’” The fact that humans have the ability to reason, be self-aware, and
understand morality can be seen as evidence that we were made in the image of a
Creator. The Bible also affirms that God placed His law within our hearts. In Romans
    2:15, Paul writes,
“They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts,
    their consciences also bearing witness…

  6. The Complexity of the Human Eye
The human eye is often cited as an example of irreducible complexity—the idea that it’s
so perfectly designed that it could not have evolved in stages. The eye has many
complex parts that work together to allow vision, and it’s hard to imagine how it could
have come about gradually through natural selection. Some scientists, like Richard
Dawkins, have argued that the evolution of the eye is unlikely to have occurred randomly
and must have been guided in some way.
    In Psalm 139:16, David says,
“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained
for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.
    ” The complexity of the
human eye and its precision in allowing us to interact with the world can be seen as
evidence of God’s design and purpose in the creation of human beings.
In conclusion, scientific discoveries like the fine-tuning of the universe, the complexity of DNA,
and the laws of physics don’t disprove God—they actually point to the existence of an intelligent
Creator. As we continue to explore and understand the natural world, many find that science
and faith are not in conflict, but rather complement each other in revealing the majesty of God’s
creation. These discoveries reinforce the belief that God is the ultimate Designer and Creator of
all things. The more we learn about the intricacies of the universe, the more we can see His
handiwork, and as the Bible says,
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the
    work of His hands.
    ” (Psalm 19:1).
